PHOTOS: Gaiser Center donates Thanksgiving supplies to MHY Family Services
Joseph Mahoney, executive director at the Ellen O'Brien Gaiser Center, adds a turkey to the cooler at MHY Family Services in Adams Township on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022. The Gaiser Center donated all the food needed to make Thanksgiving dinner, in this case lunch, including turkeys, gravy, rolls, water and pies, along with fidget spinners, for next Tuesday's lunch menu at the MHY campus. Mahoney said a nonprofit to nonprofit donation is special because “We're fortunate to be able to give back to the community that has given so much to us, and there is no better time of year than now.“ MHY Family Services offers programs, through their Longmore Academy, to help guide youth in societal situations and educational needs, while the Gaiser Center offers addiction treatment programs.
