TMG Big Band, formerly known as the Trinity Jazz Orchestra, will present a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Monday at First English Lutheran Church, Main and Brady streets. Admission is free. The TMG is composed of music educators and other professional area musicians.

Bach Society will present a choral Christmas concert “O Come Divine Messiah” at 8 p.m. Friday at Center Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock and Saturday at Tower Presbyterian Church in Grove City. The first half of the concert will be selections from Handel's “Messiah” and the second half Christmas songs from a variety of composers. Admission is free. Call 724-450-0636.

Bottlebrush: A Gallery for the Arts, 539 Main St., Harmony, will host a Harmony in the House concert featuring American music by The Early Mays along with a buffet beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday. Cost is $20 for both or $10 for the show only, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. Call 724-452-0539.

Union School District choirs and bands will present Christmas concerts, the elementary band and choir at 7 p.m. today and the junior and senior high school bands at 7 p.m. Dec. 12, both at the high school, 354 Baker St., Rimersburg. Nonperishable food items will be collected at the door for area food banks.Butler native and Broadway veteran Michael Marra has joined the cast of “Chess in Concert” to be performed at 2 p.m. Sunday at Richland Performing Arts Center at Richland High School, Johnstown. The performance is a fundraiser for a scholarship fund in the name of Kiersten Roberston, a student who was killed in an automobile accident in 2011. Marra will be playing one of the principal roles, Molokov. He has appeared on Broadway and toured nationally in “Les Miserables” and was an original cast member of the national tour of “Jekyll & Hyde.” He has also appeared in “The Producers” for Pittsburgh CLO.Tickets range from $10 to $24. Renaissance and Baroque Society of Pittsburgh hosts Piffaro the Renaissance Band performing “Drive the Cold Winter Away” celebrating numerous aspects of the season at 8 p.m. Saturday at Synod Hall, 125 N. Craig St. in Oakland. Tickets range from $20 to $35, and students pay $10. Call 412-361-2048.Pittsburgh Camerata presents “It Was All Shining: A Camerata Christmas” Saturday at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 5801 Hampton St.; Dec. 13 at Mount Lebanon United Methodist Church, 3319 W.
