SV grad Miller earns PSAC honor
LOCK HAVEN — Seneca Valley graduate California (Pa.) University linebacker Gabe Miller has been named PSAC West Special Teams Athlete of the Week,.
Miler blocked a punt during the Vulcans’ 31-7 win over East Stroudsburg. It was his third blocked kick this season. Miller also ha two tackles and his first career interception in the game.
He set career-highs with 40 tackles and 7.0 tackles for loss this season.
SRU’s McFall named player of week
LOCK HAVEN — Slippery Rock University men’s basketball player Jonathan McFall has been named PSAC West Athlete of the Week in the sport.
McFall averaged 21.5 points per game, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in SRU’s wins last weekend over Alderson Broaddus and Notre Dame (Ohio).
Knoch grad Fraser makes All-PAC
GROVE CITY — Knoch graduate Scott Fraser, a junior wide receiver for Grove City College, has been named first team All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference.
Fraser has caught 66 passes for 1,113 yards and 10 touchdowns so far this season.
Inclement weather postpones games
Three PIAA semifinal games involving Butler County area teams were postponed Tuesday night by inclement weather.
The Mars-Moon girls soccer game at North Allegheny, Seneca Valley-Conestoga boys soccer game at Chambersburg and Freeport-Philip Osceola volleyball match at Punxsutawney were all pushed back to Wednesday night.
