Turkey dinners packed at Lemieux complex
In partnership with Pittsburgh Penguins Elite, Semper Gratus will pack 150 Thanksgiving dinners as a community engagement project from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the UPMC Mario Lemieux Sports Complex, 800 Cranberry Drive, Cranberry Township. Volunteers include youth team members from the Penguins Elite organization.
The meals will benefit Familylinks and be distributed to single mothers who are victims of abuse and/or in recovery from addiction.
Latin meaning “Always Grateful,” Semper Gratus is a certified 501(c)(3) Pittsburgh-based organization that supports pediatric patients suffering from cancers, diseases, and disabilities in addition to performing other general acts of kindness.
