WORTHINGTON — The Worthington-West Franklin Fire Department Community Day will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 16.

Activities will include entertainment by Charee White, the Honor Guard, clowns, visits by Stat Medevac and Life Flight, and fire trucks.

Train show benefits youths

Library holds scrap metal drive

WEST SUNBURY — The Friends of North Trails Library will hold a scrap metal drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 22 at the library, 1553 West Sunbury Road.

Band festival set in Clarion County

RIMERSBURG — The Clarion County Music Educators will hold its annual Clarion County Marching Band Festival at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at Union High School.

Lighthouse holds gala, auction

MIDDLESEX TWP — The Lighthouse Foundation will host a gala and silent auction from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Twelve Oaks Mansion, 160 Scharberry Lane. The foundation provides emergency homeless shelter, transitional housing, food and other services to disadvantaged people across Butler and northern Allegheny counties.
