COUNTYButler County Historical Society’s Senator Walter Lowrie House Museum on Saturday concludes the last public showing of “The Civil War in Pennsylvania,” a 500-square-foot exhibit featuring four life-size historic figures, modular panels describing Pennsylvania’s contributions, and original items from the collections of the historical society. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Saturday. Admission is free, though donations are accepted. REGIONThe annual miniature railroad display in Emlenton is open weekends through January. The layout is open from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at Donaldson Motors, 714 River Ave. The main layout is HO-scale and covers 60 square feet. There also are three 4- by 8-foot displays featuring Lionel, Marx, American Flyer and Thomas the Tank Engine along with miniature train engines, cars and trucks. PITTSBURGHCarnegie Science Center, North Side, has reopened the Miniature Railroad and Village. New this year is a replica of Crawford Grill, a jazz club in the Hill District from 1937 to 1951. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays through Fridays. The center will be closed Sunday. General admission is $18.95 for adults and $11.95 for children ages 3 to 12.
