SUMMIT TWP — No one was injured when one vehicle rear-ended another Tuesday afternoon in front of the Dollar General on Route 422 in Summit Township, according to state police.

State Trooper Amanda Cagno confirmed that no one involved was injured despite heavy front end damage to one involved vehicle. The other car, she noted, escaped relatively unharmed and was driven from the scene by its owner after investigators were finished.

The wreck caused mild traffic congestion as one lane on each side of the road was blocked by public safety vehicles and the more damaged of the two vehicles.
