Joseph John Pohrer

Joseph John Pohrer

Joseph John Pohrer, 82, of St. Augustine, Fla., reached out and took our Lord's hand April 18 at the Community Hospice Bailey Center for Caring.

Joe was born in Bellevue to Joseph and Armella Pohrer.

Joe and Dodie raised their family in Cranberry Township, where Joe worked for Roach & Ziegler and was involved in the Lions International Club. The family moved to Naples, Fla., in 1980, where Joe was active in the Knights of Columbus as a fourth degree knight.

Four years ago, Joe and Dodie moved to St. Augustine to be near their daughter as Joe's health continued to decline from cancer.

A man of great faith in God and a devout Catholic, Joe never lost hope and continued to smile every day. He was often heard saying, “It is all in God's hands.”
