The Associated Artists of Butler County is seeking submissions for its “Making It Green” exhibit. Entries are due by 4 p.m. Feb. 25.

The exhibit will open with a “Meet the Artists” night at 7 p.m. March 4, and the show runs through March 25.

This exhibit is a juried art show with the general theme of “Anything Green,” which can mean artwork with predominantly green colors; lost/found articles turned into art; art related to “greening the environment” or recycling or reuse; art created with salvaged or natural materials; or art commenting on climate change, among other things.

The categories are: paintings in oil, acrylic and watercolor; drawings and pastels; photography; mixed media, digital art and collage; and 3D sculpture and fiber art.

All artwork must be original and ready to hang with wire or firmly affixed sawtooth hanger. All two dimensional art, except stretched canvas on wood, must be framed.

No art displayed at The Art Center in the previous two years is eligible.

Art entry fees are $12 for the first piece and $7 per additional piece for non-members and $10 for the first piece and $5 per additional piece for members.

Half of the art entry fees will be given out in cash awards.
