Lifesteps to offer free developmental and autism screenings
The early years of a child’s life is critical for development, and, with that in mind, the Lifesteps’ Child Check program will be providing free developmental and autism screenings for children birth to age 5 at Lifesteps Stirling Village on Nov. 21.
The screening will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Lifesteps Stirling Village is at 375 Stirling Village Drive in Butler.
Child Check screenings take about 30 minutes to complete, and the results are discussed immediately after with the parents or guardians, which are brief assessments that use games and activities to determine a child’s current level of development.
Appointments for in-person or online screenings are required and can be scheduled by calling Lifesteps at 724-283-1010 or at 1-800-225-2010.
