Rena M. Monteleone, 84, of Butler died Sunday afternoon at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born April 7, 1932, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Silvis and Anita Gianneschi Spinetti.

Rena was a graduate of Butler High School and was employed by the State of Pennsylvania with the Unemployment Compensation Bureau, retiring as a claims supervisor. She had enjoyed reading, watching old movies and watching her grandchildren's sporting events. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband, James R. Monteleone, who she married Sept. 12, 1953; two sons, James R. (Joanna) Monteleone Jr. of Cranberry Township and David L. (Debra) Monteleone of Butler; five grandchildren, David, Nick, Michael, Alex and Jessie Monteleone; one great-granddaughter, Jordan Monteleone; and two brothers, Don (Donna) Spinetti of Butler and Robert (Iretha) Spinetti of Texas.

MONTELEONE — Visitation for Rena M. Monteleone, who died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will then be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Harry Bielewicz, pastor, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, River Walk Corporate Centre, 333 E. Carson St., Suite 441, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
