Friends of the Bantam Jeep Association held a day of four-wheeling fun Saturday for their event volunteers, and the admission price will benefit a needy child at Christmas.

To participate in the trail ride at Kildoo Quarry in Portersville, volunteers from this year’s Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival and Bantam Trailfest brought a new toy.

The toys were gathered and donated to the Lighthouse Foundation’s annual Toy Shoppe, which allows eligible parents and guardians to shop for free Christmas presents for their children.

The Toy Shoppe provides presents for more than 400 local children, many of whom would otherwise find nothing under the tree on Christmas morning.

To donate to the Lighthouse Foundation’s Toy Shoppe, drop new, unwrapped toys for children from birth through age 12, gift cards and stocking stuffers at Bakerstown United Methodist Church, 5760 William Flinn Highway, Gibsonia, between 4 and 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16.

To schedule an alternate drop-off time and date, call 724-903-0041.
