Dorothy Douthett Braham, 101, of Leeds, Mass., died Wednesday.

Born April 21, 1909, she was the youngest child of Adam and Carrie Douthett.

She attended Butler schools, worked in a bank and married Butler attorney Luther C. Braham.

She was active at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, pianist, elder and deacon. She also was a Red Cross volunteer at Deshon Veteran Hospital for more than 20 years.

Following the death of her husband in 1963, she devoted her energies to enriching the lives of her two daughters, Sue Braham Mullen of Butler and Jeanne Braham of Sunderland, Mass; and her two grandchildren, Mary Jeanne Mullen Buck of Towson, Md., and her spouse, Robert Buck, and Timothy Mullen of Saxonburg and his spouse, Marguerite Supler Mullen.

In her later years, she took special joy in her great-grandchildren, Victoria Buck, Sophia Buck, Daniel Mullen and Andrew Mullen.

Her daughter, Sue, died in 2001 after a battle with ALS. Following the death of her daughter, she moved to Concordia in Cabot and joined the Saxonburg Presbyterian Church. After fire destroyed her apartment, she moved to Massachusetts to live with her younger daughter.
