John William Davis
John William Davis, 72, of Butler passed away Saturday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born June 1, 1942, in Neptune, Tenn., the son of the late John B. Davis and Lillian Pursell Davis Groves.
John retired from the Butler County Courthouse after 20 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing bingo.
Surviving are six stepchildren, Barbara Legg of Ohio, Linda Leach of Ohio, Sue Cantera of Butler, Shirley Sayers of Ohio, Bill Stoughton of Butler, and Jeff Stoughton of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and his former wife and friend, Shirley Davis of Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Myrtle Davis.
