Frank Smicik, Jr.

Frank Smicik Jr., 77, of Cabot passed away Monday at his home.

Born June 18, 1938, in New Kensington, he was the son of Frank and Sophie Gaverish Smicik.

Frank had worked as an electrical engineer for Emerson Electric.

He was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot. He enjoyed gardening and metal detecting.

Surviving are his wife, Bernadette Ann “Cookie” Goga Smicik, who he married Aug. 15, 1970; his daughter, Karen Smicik of Atlanta, Ga.; his brother, Daniel (Rose) Smicik of Vandergrift; and his sister, Marilyn Jaszczak of New Kensington.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Mark Alan Smicik.

SMICIK — Friends of Frank Smicik Jr., who died Monday, June 29, 2015, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Cabot, with the Rev.
