Beryl G. Leavy, 95, of Paramount Senior Living, formerly of Cranberry Township, passed away on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022.

Beryl was born in Pittsburgh on May 19, 1927, and was the daughter of the late David John Jones and Alma Murphy Jones. Beryl was an only child.

She married Ernest J. Leavy on Oct. 26, 1945, shortly after he returned from the war. They lived in Pittsburgh and later, Davie, Fla. In 1989, a year after Ernie’s death, Beryl returned to Pittsburgh and met Fred Marburger. They were companions until his death in 2017.

The family owned a cottage in Edinboro, and she enjoyed many summers there throughout her children’s childhoods.

She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church. She loved reading and was an accomplished seamstress. She loved the Pittsburgh sports teams and attended many games.

Beryl is survived by her daughter, Linda (Larry) Densmore; her granddaughter, Lindsay (William) Freil; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie; her son, David John; and her companion, Fred Marburger.

LEAVY — Private arrangements for Beryl G. Leavy, who died Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, have been entrusted to BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.
