John Baranchak

John Baranchak, 77, of Butler passed away Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born May 4, 1940, he was a son of the late John E. Baranchak and Ruth Pelton Baranchak.

John was a 1958 graduate of Philipsburg High School in Philipsburg, Pa. He was an electrician for I.B.E.W Local 932. He also was a longtime owner of J'S Bar in Lyndora, retiring in 2005.

He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, French/Belgium Club, Slovak Club and the Italian Club.

Surviving are his wife Dolores Rusnak Baranchak, whom he married May 16, 1964; two sons, John M. (Angela) Baranchak of Butler and David B. (Staci) Baranchak of Raleigh, N.C.; one daughter, Beth A. (Peter) Cordova of Boca Raton, Fla.; and his grandchildren, Matthew and Luke Baranchak, Dyllan and Macey Baranchak and Zac and Kaleina Cordova.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

BARANCHAK — Friends of John Baranchak, who died Sunday, June 25, 2017, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Butler.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church or the American Heart Association P.O.
