Scott Allen Wagner

Scott Allen Wagner, 48, of Hudson, Colo., passed away May 15 in Aurora, Colo.

Scott was born in January of 1968, to Donald and Gail (Andrews) Wagner in Butler. He attended Freeport Area High School before joining the U.S. Marine Corps in 1986, where he served during the Persian Gulf War.

After receiving an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Scott returned to the Pittsburgh area. He went to work for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. Scott worked as a police officer for the U.S. Park Police in Washington, D.C., for eight years, before moving to Colorado. Scott served six years with the Westminster Police Department after two years with Fort Lupton Police Department.

Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Gail.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; his son, Gabriel; his father, Donald; his stepmother, Betty; his brother, Vance; his sister, Kelly (Wagner) Lucas; and his brother, Lee.

WAGNER — A memorial service and interment for Scott Allen Wagner, who died Sunday, May 15, 2016, were conducted May 24 in Colorado. He was buried in the Fort Logan Nation Cemetery in Denver, Colo.In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made in Scott's name at the Semper Fi Fund, www.semperfifund.org or Concerns Of Police Survivors (COPS), www.nationalcops.org.The Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, Brighton, Colo., is assisting with the arrangements.
