Fern 'Fay' Ruben

Fern “Fay” Ruben, 85, of Saxonburg, passed away at 12:50 p.m. Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.

She was born June 30, 1929, in Pittsburgh to the late Max Levine and Frieda (Smizik) Levine.

Mrs. Ruben was a homemaker and Jewish by faith.

Mrs. Ruben is survived by her husband, Allen Ruben, who she married on Sept. 14, 1948; two daughters, Darlene Mullen of Oakdale, Pa., and Linda Ruben of Saxonburg; one son, Charles Ruben and his wife, Christina, of Simi Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren, Greg Mullen, Michael Ruben, Jeremy Ruben and Jaime Ruben; a number of great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Draper of Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

RUBEN — A graveside service for Fern “Fay” Ruben, who died Thursday, April 16, 2015, will be held on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Congregation B'nai Abraham Cemetery, 241 Portman Road, Butler, with the Rev. Michal Gray-Schaffer of the Congregation B'nai Abraham, officiating.Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
