Butler grad Suchonic gets bowling honors

PITTSBURGH —Butler graduate Brea Suchonic, a sophomore on the Penn State-Altoona bowling team, earned All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference honors this season.

Suchonic averaged 15.759 in 129 frames of AMCC baker play and posted a 167.67 average in 12 games in the team match format. She was also selected to the all-tournament team after the AMCC Championships.

Bresnahan’s boards help Dukes win

PITTSBURGH — Butler graduate and Duquesne University women’s basketball senior point guard Olivia Bresnahan had a career-high 14 rebounds in Wednesday night’s 58-51 overtime win over Richmond.

Bresnahan also contributed six points, 14 rebounds, five steals and three assists to the Dukes’ (18-8, 10-3) seventh straight victory.

Grenek wins No. 100 with Point Park

PITTSBURGH — Butler graduate and former Butler County Community College men’s basketball coach Tony Grenek picked up his 100th victory as Point Park University women’s coach Wednesday night.

The Pioneers (23-4, 10-3) defeated Carlow, 69-64. Grenek is 100-23 overall and is in his fourth year at Point Park.
