Verna I. Zedreck
Verna I. Zedreck, 89, of Butler, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
Verna was born Aug. 14, 1927, in West Sunbury.
She was the daughter of the late Howard F. Allison and the late Jessie Mae Christy Allison.
Verna was a member of the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church and had been a postal clerk at the West Sunbury post office for more than 20 years.
Verna is survived by two daughters, Joann Duke and Patricia (Gib) Brandon, both of West Sunbury; two sons, Robert (Carleen) Zedreck of McDonald, Pa., and Richard (Kim) Zedreck of Hilliards; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Pearl Stark of New York; and one brother, Charles Allison of Ellwood City.
Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, who died Sept. 25, 2003; four brothers; and three sisters.
ZEDRECK — The family of Verna I. Zedreck, who died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jeffrey Lang, her pastor, officiating.
