Cynthia Lee Harbison

Cynthia Lee Harbison, 63, of Sarver passed away Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born Dec. 13, 1953, in Butler, she was the daughter of John A. McCool and Betty B. Mentzer McCool.

She worked as a public relations development manager for Community Care Connections. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sarver, the Junior Women's Club and the Butler A.M. Rotary. She enjoyed traveling and volunteer work.

Cindy graduated in 1972 from Butler High School and was an active member of the reunion planning committee for many years. Cindy was a self-described compulsive volunteer. As a member of the Junior Women's Club of Butler for more than a decade, she cochaired the annual “Holly Berry” event. Cindy had been a very active member of the Butler A.M. Rotary for a number of years. She was the second female member to be elected president and truly tried to live her life by the Four Way Test.

Surviving are her son, Patrick (Kaitlyn) McIntyre of Butler; her daughter, Amanda McIntyre of Sarver; her brother, John (Kandy) McCool of Butler; two sisters, Nancy (James) Neely of Butler and Patty McCool of Harrisburg, Pa.; three grandchildren, Ryann, Cole and Violet; her companion, Jim Barbara; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Robert Lassinger and Daniel Harbison.

HARBISON — Friends of Cynthia Lee Harbison, who died Thursday, May 11, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Saxonburg, with the Rev.
