Lawrence T. 'Bud' Byerly Sr.
Lawrence T. “Bud” Byerly Sr., 83, of Butler passed away Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler.
He was born on July 9, 1931, in Dixonville, the son of the late Thomas Alva Byerly and Gertrude Starr Byerly.
Bud enjoyed spending time with his family.
He worked at the Butler Outdoor Army Navy Store for more than 60 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Priscilla Bradley Byerly, whom he married on May 29, 1954; his daughter, Theresa (Thomas) Brown of Butler; his two sons, Lawrence (Dianne) Byerly Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Gregory (Barb) Byerly of Butler; his four grandchildren, Dustin, Joshua and Brian Byerly, and Tommy Brown; his six great-grandchildren, Alexis and Kalib Chilenski, and Blessed, Jahsiah, Lilly, and Adam Byerly; his great-great-grandchild, Liam Jude Wesley; his sister, Sally Jane Byerly of Butler, and his beloved pet, Ivory Brown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Geoffrey.
Byerly — The friends of Lawrence T. “Bud” Byerly Sr., who passed away Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
