Priscilla Byerly

Priscilla Byerly, 79, of Butler, passed away Friday at Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born Jan. 19, 1937, in Steubenville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Thomas and Viola Mathews Bradley.

Priscilla was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church. She had been a sales clerk at the Army Navy Store for 38 years. She was involved in Special Olympics where she was a coach for all sports and especially bowling. She was a member of the Special Olympics Hall of Fame.

Surviving are her daughter, Theresa (Thomas) Brown of Butler; two sons, Lawrence (Dianne) Byerly Jr., of Amelia, Ohio, and Gregory (Barb) Byerly, of Butler; four grandchildren, Dustin (Erin), Joshua and Brian Byerly and Tommy Brown; six great-grandchildren, Alexis and Kalib Chilenski and Blessed, Jahsiah, Lilly and Adam Byerly; great-great-grandchild, Liam Jude Wesley; sister-in-law, Sally Jane Byerly; her beloved pet, Razor; four sisters; and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Bud” Byerly Sr., who died Feb. 12, 2015; one infant son, Jeffrey; one sister; and two brothers.

BYERLY — Friends of Priscilla Byerly, who died Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hermitage.
