Pitt's Champagnie earns ACC honors
PITTSBURGH — University of Pittsburgh sophomore Justin Champagnie has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Champagnie scored 31 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked five shots in a win over Duke. He scored 17 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had five steals in a loss to Wake Forest.
Champagnie is the first Pitt player since Lamar Patterson in 2013-14 to be named conference player of the week three times in a season.
