Jen's Academy announced twirling champions from a recent competition.The Five Star Performers won 14 Twirling Unlimited regional titles, one state National Baton Twirling Association title and five NBT Anational titles.They traveled to Ohio, Florida, Georgia and Indiana to perform and compete.

Stephanie Cicero won the TU regional beginner and advanced pageants, TU regional parade majorette and is the NBTA's national fancy strut, flag baton, one baton and two baton champion.

PITTSBURGH — A women's cappella chorus featuring three Butler County members will kick-off a Pirates game with the singing of the National Anthem.The Sounds of Pittsburgh Chorus was invited to sing for the second year, and will be featured before the Aug. 25 game.The chorus includes Ruth Nulph of Center Township, Paula Dorsch of Butler Township, and Mary Louise McChattie of Butler.The Pirates will play the Chicago Cubs at 7:05 p.m.
