Maxine McGuire

Maxine McGuire, 78, of Saxonburg passed from the Earth into eternal Heaven Friday at the Allegheny Valley Hospital after a fall at her home.

Born Feb. 5, 1934, in Fawn Township, Allegheny County, she was the daughter of the late Emanuel and Dorothy (McGuire) Cravener Babinsack.

She was a member of the Christ is the Answer Church in Saxonburg. She enjoyed crafting and was a very spiritual woman.

Surviving are her loving children, Leonard (Melanie) McGuire of Saxonburg and Tammy Stephens of New Bern, N.C.; two brothers, Paul (Jan) Cravener and Kenneth (Joanne) Cravener; four grandchildren, Kathy McGuire and Greg Hoak, Adam McGuire and Leah Mitchell, Jacob (Mallory) Stephens and Shannon Stephens; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean McGuire; a brother, George Cravener; and a half-sister, Karan Babinsack.

MCGUIRE — Friends of Maxine McGuire, who passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. A memorial service will be at noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Brookland Cemetery.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
