Robert “Buddy” James Slomers Sr.

Robert “Buddy” James Slomers Sr., 77, of Butler passed away Sunday.

He was born Nov. 13, 1939, in Butler, the son of the late Andrew and Margaret Cunningham Slomers.

Robert loved to play music and spend time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are the mother of his children, Donna Hemphill Slomers of Butler; four sons, Robert J. (Pam) Slomers Jr., David A. (Song) Slomers, Tony A. (Carolee) Slomers and Daniel (Joyce) Slomers, all of Butler; 13 grandchildren, Shannon Slomers, Craig Slomers, Shelby Slomers, Alisha Slomers, David Slomers, Alex Slomers, Nikki Slomers, Vince Slomers, Jacob Slomers, Zachary Slomers, Mya Slomers, Cole Thompson and Hayden Thompson; three sisters, Margaret Brown of Butler, Ruthy Pollock of Butler and Patricia Slomers of California; and two brothers, David Slomers of Butler and Joey Slomers of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Lou Thomas and Martha Kowal; and three brothers, Terry Slomers, Andy Slomers and Tommy Slomers.
