Michael G. Brula, 87, of Buena Vista, Chicora, died unexpectedly on Oct. 31, 2022, at Concordia in Cabot.

Born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 9, 1935, he was the son of Michael and Helen Brula.

He married Jacqueline Mayer on Feb. 26, 1959, and she died in March 2005.

After graduating high school, he worked as an over-the-road truck driver.

He served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and close friends.

BRULA — Per his wishes, all services are private for Michael G. Brula, who died Monday, Oct. 31, 2022.

He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Hemphill Cemetery in Chicora.
