Library, museum pair for event
The colorful early history of Saxonburg will be discussed at a free event at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Saxonburg Museum.
The museum and South Butler Community Library will continue their collaboration to offer a peek into the everyday lives of Saxonburg’s settlers through the early 1900s.
The broad topic will look into how early Saxonburg residents lived, played, prayed and celebrated life within their families and as a community.
Fred Cesar, the museum’s volunteer curator, will explain cultural events, German traditions carried over from their homeland and new traditions adopted over the years.
Attendees also may view the historical items displayed during Saxonburg’s Founders Day last weekend.
No registration is required, and refreshments will be provided.
Call the library at 724-352-4810 with questions or email director@southbutlerlibrary.org.
