William J. 'Jim' Simpson
William J. “Jim” Simpson, 68, of Seybertown Road, Bradys Bend Township, died Monday at his home.
Born Nov. 14, 1944, in Butler, he was the son of Carl and Elva Lou Simpson.
On Nov. 14, 1998, Jim married the former Saundra “Sandy” (Park) Schwickrath, and she survives.
He most recently worked for Butler County maintaining bridges.
Jim was a Penn State and Steelers fan. He enjoyed boating, hunting and collecting aluminum cans. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Sandy Simpson of Seybertown; two sons, William “Jim” Simpson Jr. and his companion, Alberta “Bert” Montgomery, of Karns City and Jerry Simpson and his companion, Lexey VanHorn, of Karns City; three stepsons, Ray Schwickrath and his wife, Pam, of Worthington, Joe Schwickrath and his wife, Lori, of Sarver and Donnie Schwickrath and his wife, Bonnie, of Sarver; four stepdaughters, Pam Crawford and her husband, Pat, of Vandergrift, Kim McClaine of New Castle, Kathy Morrison and her husband, Mark, of Fayette City and Margie Johns and her husband, Mike, of Worthington.
He is also survived by his mother, Elva Lou Johnson of Worthington; one sister, Doris Darrell of Mars; one sister-in-law, Rosemary Simpson of West Sunbury; 22 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by William J. and Iva S. Robinson, the couple with whom he was raised; his father, Carl Simpson, and one brother, Carl Simpson Jr.
SIMPSON — Friends of William J. “Jim” Simpson, who died Monday, June 3, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home, 105 4th St., East Brady.Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Paul DeBacco of the Criswell Bible Baptist Church officiating.
