Charles S. “Bud” Druschel

Charles S. “Bud” Druschel, 82, of Harmony passed away on Thursday while under the care of UPMC Passavant Hospital.

Born Sept. 13, 1934, in Harmony, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Mary Genner Druschel Davies.

Bud was a member of the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church where he served as treasurer for 39 years. He worked for Billco Manufacturing until his retirement in 1995. Bud loved spending time with his extended family. He lived a life of serving his Lord through his church and helping those in need. His good works exemplified his Christian faith. Bud will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 63 years, Nancy C. Brobeck Druschel, who he married on June 7, 1953; his sons, James H. (Kathy) Druschel, Mark E. Druschel and Michael S. (Barb) Druschel; his daughter, Lisa E. Druschel Russ; seven grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and a sister, Mary Jean (Frank) Szakelyhidi.

In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by a sister, Georgiana Druschel McCormick, and her husband, the Rev. James McCormick.

DRUSCHEL — A memorial service for Charles S. “Bud” Druschel, who passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, will be in celebration of his life at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.If desired, memorial donations may be made in his honor to the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
