James W. Freehling II
James W. Freehling II, 66, of Sarver passed away Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 14, 1950, in Butler, he was the son of James W. Freehling and Anna E. Bicker Freehling.
Jim was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was self-employed, owning his own lawn care, tree and band mill service. He also worked at the U.S. Steel sintering plant.
A member of the Zion United Methodist Church, Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and camping at the family cottage. He loved training and running his beagles.
Surviving are his loving wife, Roxanne M. McWilliams Freehling, who he married Oct. 16, 1971; his mother, Anna of Sarver; his sons, James W. Freehling III of Saxonburg and Kenneth M. Freehling of Sarver; four grandchildren, Ashley, Jimmy Lee, Tyler and Logan; his sisters, Darlene (Thomas) Grabe of Sarver and Barbara (George) Wagle of Butler; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca (Becky) M. Freehling, who died in 2006; and his father, James W. Freehling, who died in 1996.
FREEHLING — Friends of James W. Freehling II, who died Monday, March 27, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Zion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert H. Wilson officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.
