Charlotte Lee Frantz
Charlotte Lee Frantz, 73, of Butler, passed away Tuesday.
Charlotte was born Oct. 28, 1943, and lived most of her life in the Sarver and Cabot areas.
She graduated in 1961 from Freeport High School and obtained a library science degree in 1984 from Slippery Rock University.
Charlotte served as a substitute teacher in a number of area schools. She was also employed by Saxonburg Ceramics and Conquest Services.
Family was important to Charlotte. She loved her daughter and two grandsons. She was a feisty, fun-loving and caring person.
Charlotte surrounded herself with books and enjoyed reading so much that sometimes other things fell by the wayside.
She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Frantz; her grandsons, Skylar and Shay Locke, of New Castle; her sisters, Patricia (Andy) Androwick, of West Chester, Pa., JoAnn Patrick, of Sarver, and Carol (Robert) Kuhns, of Ford City; her brother, Richard (Brenda Golembesky), of Mars; and many nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Charles R. Frantz and Sara Jane (McCracken) Frantz Williams.
