Helen M. "Mammy" Koretski

Helen M. “Mammy” Koretski, 96, of Butler, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018, at her home.

She was born Jan. 17, 1922, in Butler, the daughter of the late Harold Thomas and Kathryn Reeseman Williams.

She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian. She also belonged to the Ladies of the Moose and Chapter 684 in Virginia Beach for 25 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and poker.

Surviving are her daughter, Carol J. (Dennis) Weaver of Butler; three grandchildren, Johnna S. (Richard) Keeler of Butler, Michelle D. (Kurt) Schaible of Illinois and Nicolas C. Smith of Prospect; four stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Koretski, who died July 6, 1995; and two sisters, Jeanne McGinley and Katherine Lambert of California.

KORETSKI — Friends of Helen M. “Mammy” Koretski, who died Saturday, March 24, 2018, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
