Lucille Keene

Lucille M. Keene, 63, of Fenelton passed away Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler on Nov. 26, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Lucille Fornelli Kowal Sr.

She was a homemaker and an avid bowler.

She is survived by her husband, John I. Keene Sr., to whom she was married for 44 years; three sons, John I. Keene Jr. and his wife, Renee, of Chicora, Mark A. Keene and his wife, Kelly, of Butler and Matthew D. Keene and his wife, Michelle, of Butler; four brothers, David Kowal of Butler, Stanley Kowal Jr. and his wife, Sonia, of Butler, Michael Kowal and his wife, Kay, of Butler and Richard Kowal and his wife, Sally, of Pittsburgh; and seven grandchildren, Jessica Fair of Chicora, Justin Keene of Butler, Cody Stroup of Butler, Jacob Keene of Butler, Dylan Keene of Chicora, Dalton Fair of Chicora and Luke Keene of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Katherine J. Christie; and one sister-in-law, Marsha Kowal.

KEENE — Friends of Lucille M. Keene, who passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 9 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Barry Murray of Calvary Baptist Church, Allison Park, officiating.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
