David Pengryn, 67, of Butler died Thursday at 5:53 p.m. in the Allegheny General Hospital.

Born Feb. 9, 1944, in Butler, he was the son of the late Lewis Pengryn and Genevieve (Blymiller) Currie.

Mr. Pengryn was Baptist by faith.

He enjoyed watching Jack Van Impee weekly.

He was a welder at Pullman Standard and he also owned and operated his own hauling business.

Mr. Pengryn was a member of the Italian Club, Slovak Club and French and Belgium Club.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Pengryn is survived by his wife, Sharron I. (Cumberland) Pengryn who he married on Aug. 30, 1963; three daughters, Tammy Pengryn of Butler, Sherry and her husband, Keith Walker of West Middlesex, and Bobbi Jo Pengryn and Bryan Ball of Butler; seven grandchildren, Amanda and her husband Brian Wissinger, Kassandra, Kristina, April, Keith Jr. Walker, and Ryan and Joshua Pengryn; seven great grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and one niece, Christine Mohan of Cleveland, Ohio.

Mr. Pengryn was preceded in death by his grandson, David A. Walker Sr.; and one sister, Sylvia I. Mohan.

<B>PENGRYN</B> — Donations may be made to the funeral home in memory of David Pengryn, who died Thursday, March 3, 2011.At David’s request there will be no services.Arrangements handled by the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, Butler.
