Daniel John Murray, 57, of Doylestown, Ohio, formerly of Zelienople, passed away Sunday while surrounded by family in the comfort of his home in Ohio.

Born on Nov. 30, 1956, in Ellwood City, he was the son of Doris (Rader) of Zelienople and the late Edmund C. Murray, who passed away on June 26, 2013.

Dan was a 1974 graduate of Seneca Valley High School and was a supervisor for First Energy.

He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, going to the casino, fishing and drinking Coors Light with his friends and family. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

In addition to his mother, he leaves behind to cherish his memory, his two children, Nicole (Timothy) Bouris of the North Hills of Pittsburgh and Tyler Murray of Richmond, Va.; and his four brothers, Edmund P. (Karen) Murray of Zelienople, Roger M. Murray of Zelienople, Douglas E. Murray of Butler and Timothy F. (Diane) Murray of Allison Park. He also is survived by his special friend, Teri; several nieces, nephews, special in-laws and best buds, Kyle, Mac, Kris and Zwick, just to name a few.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Denise Murray.

MURRAY — The family of Daniel John Murray, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with Father Lawrence R. Smith, celebrant.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his honor in support of the Zelienople Volunteer Fire Department, 111 W. New Castle St., Zelienople, PA 16063; the Harmony Volunteer Fire Company, 543 Main St., Harmony, PA 16037, or a charity of the donor's choice.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Dan's family at www.boylanfuneralhome.com.
