Richard G. Barnhart
Richard G. Barnhart, 78, of Chicora passed away Sunday surrounded by his devoted family at Butler Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness with Parkinson's disease.
Born Nov. 4, 1940, in Chicora, he was the son of the late Steve and Elsie Jane Heeter Barnhart.
He was in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He was retired from Penreco in Karns City.
He enjoyed working on cars, camping, hunting, fishing, and being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Adele Shearer Barnhart, whom he married Aug. 14, 1959; a son, Brent (Candi) Barnhart of Chicora; a daughter, Dawn M. Barnhart of Beaver Falls; grandchildren, Tyler James Barnhart and Cory Michael Barnhart, A1/C of Lackland Air Force Base, Lackland, Texas; brothers, Leroy (Mary K.) Barnhart of Dover, William Barnhart of Petrolia and Jeffery L. Barnhart of Titusville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy René, who died in 1963.
BARNHART — Friends of Richard G. Barnhart, who died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, Corner of 111 E.
