Harvey Potts

Harvey Potts, 92, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, passed away on Friday morning, Jan. 1, 2021, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born in Alum Rock, on Dec. 20, 1928, he was the son of the late Harry and Elgie Heeter Potts.

Harvey had served as a T/Sgt. in the United States Air Force during World War II.He was a certified public accountant, most recently for the Jewish Community Center in Squirrel Hill.He also had been a Mason at the Parker Lodge.Surviving are a daughter, Leslie Hughan (the late William) of Valencia; a son, Chris Potts (Barbara) of Minneapolis; his grandchildren, Eric (Holly), Kirstie, Thomas (Kristen, Gregory (Kate), Alexa and Michelle (Andy); and his great-grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, Owen, Paiton, Colby, Alana, Kasey, Addison and Aria.He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion L. Klinger Potts, whom he married on June 10, 1950, and who died on March 27, 2017; and by a brother, John “Jack” Potts.Potts — Arrangements for Harvey Potts, who died Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, are private under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars.Burial will be in Foxburg Episcopal Cemetery in Foxburg.A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.Memorials may be made to South Butler Community Meals on Wheels, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, PA 16059.Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
