Blair “Butch” Calvin English, 73, of Slippery Rock, passed away peacefully at Autumn Grove Nursing Home on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022.

He was born in Grove City on July 19, 1949, and was son of the late Reno and Ruth English.

Butch was a graduate of Butler High School Class of 1968.

He was employed by Kennametal for 15 years test driving cars, and later worked for his brother for 30 years at Bill’s Interior Grooming.

Butch is survived by his siblings, Shirley Templeton of Slippery Rock, Richard (Phyllis) English of Forestville, William (Maureen) English of Butler, and Sara (Leonard/Skip) Brooks of Clarion; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth English.

Butch’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his many caretakers at Autumn Grove.

ENGLISH — Services will be held privately for Blair “Butch” Calvin English, who died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
