Robert L. Barr
Robert L. Barr, 80, of Connoquenessing Township passed away Sunday while under the care of Ridgeview Boarding Home in Fenelton.
Born Jan. 14, 1937, in Butler, he was the son of the late Ralph Barr and Ida (Murtland) Barr.
Bob proudly served our country as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division in the U.S. Army.
He was a heavy equipment operator for the former W.L. Rue Construction. Bob retired from Connoquenessing Township as an operator.
He enjoyed gardening, but above all, Bob loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Sandra (Ron) Lefever of Butler, and Robin (Eric) Mock of Penn Township; his grandchildren, Ashley Lefever, Hunter Lefever and Jacob Mock; and his brother, Lawrence Barr of Butler Township.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Kriess) Barr, who passed away on April 12, 2013; his brother, William Barr; and his sister, Margaret Pefferman.
BARR — A memorial service for Robert L.
