A teenager who was involved in a drag racing incident that killing a girl pleaded guilty in Butler County court today to homicide by vehicle and was sentenced.

Robin Charles Brain, 19, of Kennerdale, Venango County, will serve 4 to 8 months in county prison followed by 76 months of probation. He also must log 150 hours of community service and pay $3,272 in restitution.

Christina Marie Williams, 19, was hit head-on on Nov. 11, 2008, when her vehicle was caught up in the maneuvers of two oncoming sports cars that had been using both lanes of Route 308 in a high speed, impromptu race.

The other driver, not Brain, slammed on his brakes, police said, lost control and struck Williams' 1994 Ford Escort.

Williams, who had been driving from her West Sunbury home to the Clearview Mall to meet up with some friends, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Before his sentencing, Brian apologized to Williams' friends and family, who also were in the courtroom.

"I can't imagine the grief I've caused you guys," he said. "I know I don't deserve to be here with you guys. I don't deserve to be walking."
