Nancy M. Collins
Nancy M. Collins, 68, of Butler died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Butler, on March 19, 1944, a daughter of the late Frank and Katie Morabito Sr.
A retired registered nurse, she was a graduate of the Butler County Community College Nursing program and had worked for the Visiting Nurses Association until 2006. Before that, she had worked at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, the South Butler Township Ladies Auxiliary, the Butler YMCA, the Tanglewood Center and the VNA retirees group.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Thomas M. Collins. They had married May 1, 1965.
Also surviving are one son, Samuel Collins and his wife, Jeanette, of Butler; one daughter, Kelly and Dale Vanlaningham of Butler; five grandchildren, Stephen, Natalie and Alex Vanlaningham and Chelsea Collins and Emma Martin; three brothers, James Morabito of Sylmar, Calif., Dominic “Snooks” (Elsa) Morabito of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Frank (Rachel) Morabito Jr. of Bakersfield, Calif.; three sisters, Mary (Ralph) McAnallen of Salmon, Idaho, Betty “Betsy” Kerry of Butler and Marcella “Marsha” (Melvin “Buzz”) Clark of Hooker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Morabito.
COLLINS — Friends of Nancy M. Collins, who died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.
