Nava L. Twerdok
Nava L. Acquaviva Twerdok, 89, of McClain Avenue died Thursday evening at Sunnyview Home.
Born in Butler on Aug. 5, 1917, she was the daughter of Michael and Leonarda Monico Acquaviva.
A homemaker, she was a lifelong member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler, and had been a volunteer at the church and St. Michael school.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Twerdok, who died Jan. 2, 1965, and also by 10 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Mary) Albrektsen of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a son, Harry L. Twerdok of East Brady; a stepbrother, Frank Pinto of Butler; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
<B>TWERDOK</B> — Friends of Nava L. Twerdok, who died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 432 Center Avenue. The Rev. James Dolan, pastor, will officiate.
