Regis Bogan

Regis Francis Bogan, 76, of Cabot died Wednesday morning in the Emergency Room of Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born on Nov. 1, 1936, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Robert E. Bogan and Amelia Margaret (Rape) Bogan.

He was a retired bricklayer, working out of the Union Local 9.

He was a member of the Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church, the Penn Township Veteran's Club, was a 50-year Gold Member of the Union Local 9 and had enjoyed hunting and golfing.

Regis was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Surviving are his three daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Dan Manning of Butler, Felicia and Dennis Fleming of Butler and Faith Bogan and Richard Anthony of Petrolia; his seven grandchildren, R.J. Manning of Butler, James Manning of Butler, Kimberly Becker of Slippery Rock, Leigh Fry of Butler, Brandt Fleming of Butler, Seth Anthony of Petrolia and Hope Anthony of Petrolia; his four great-grandchildren; and his three brothers, Ed Bogan of Foley, Ala., Bill Bogan of Valencia and Dennis J. Bogan Sr. of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deritha M. Bogan, who he married July 2, 1965, and she died Feb. 4, 1990; his parents; two sisters; and three brothers.

BOGAN — The friends of Regis Francis Bogan, who died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. The funeral service will be Saturday at the funeral home, but a time has not been set. Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
