Janice E. Ross
Janice E. Ross, 65, formerly of Butler, passed away at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sugar Creek Rest in Worthington.
She was born Nov. 24, 1947, in Butler, to the late Joseph Henry McKain II and Leola Mae Tirk McKain.
Mrs. Ross was a homemaker and a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. She loved to write poetry.
Mrs. Ross is survived by two daughters, Richelle Rice of Butler and Jaynene Willetts and her husband, Charles, of Butler; one son, Steven Layton of Butler; 15 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren, with one on the way; one sister, Judith Flick and her husband, Donald, of Butler; two brothers, Joseph McKain III and his wife, Kathy, of Butler and James McKain of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
ROSS — Friends of Janice E. Ross, who passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with pastor James Lynn officiating.
