Bridge closes for 15 months,/b>PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh’s Andy Warhol Bridge is closing for repairs for 15 months.The bridge closed at 9 a.m. today to vehicles and pedestrians.The $25 million rehabilitation project will include the installation of a new concrete deck, structural steel repairs and a fresh coat of paint.The work is expected to continue until November 2017.The Rachel Carson Bridge will be used as a detour.1 dead, 3 injured in 5-vehicle crashPITTSBURGH — Authorities say a five-car crash has left one woman dead and three other people injured in Pittsburgh.Police spokeswoman Sonya Toler says the crash happened just before 6 p.m. Sunday on state Route 51 near Interstate 376.She says a woman in the vehicle that authorities believe started the wreck later died. The man behind the wheel of that vehicle is in critical condition after police say his arm was severed.Toler says a man and a teen also have been hospitalized with minor injuries.Authorities didn’t immediately identify the victims.The crash remains under investigation.Hit-and-run victim from SyracusePITTSBURGH — A pedestrian killed last week in a hit-and-run on Interstate 376 in Pittsburgh has been identified as a Syracuse, N.Y., man.Police say 21-year-old Parker Rhoades, a student at the University of Pittsburgh, was trying to cross the highway when he was struck by a vehicle about 1:15 a.m. Friday. The vehicle didn’t stop.The Allegheny County medical examiner says the man died of trauma injuries to his head, torso and extremities.Autopsy set for man near burning carPITTSBURGH — An autopsy is set on the body of a Pittsburgh man found slain near the burning car he recently purchased.The body of 33-year-old Gordan Johnson was found nearby when firefighters went to put out the burning car about 6:30 a.m. Sunday.Police aren’t saying how Johnson might have been killed.His family last reported seeing him Friday.The car was found in a grassy area behind a vacant home near 57th Street in the city’s Lawrenceville neighborhood.
