Butler high school senior recognized as Young Ambassador
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful (KPB) announced Monday Oct. 24 the slate of Young Ambassadors of Pennsylvania for 2022-2023.
Carmen Skal, a senior at Butler Senior High School was the only student from Butler County recognized in the announcement.
The new-to-Pennsylvania program aims to build community stewards and civic leaders by inspiring and empowering young Pennsylvanians to keep their communities clean, while becoming ambassadors for the shared vision.
Students applied to the program and were chosen through a competitive application process.
All of the winners have committed to eight months of service as an ambassador, while representing and upholding the mission of KPB.
