• TINA MANGOLA (Seneca Valley) a freshman on the Ohio Northern University women's softball team, hit her single-season record 10th home run in the Polar Bears 2-0, 4-1 doubleheader sweep of Mount Union. The sweep clinched an Ohio Athletic Conference playoff spot for ONU(25-7, 11-3). Mangola had three hits in the twinbill and is one homer shy of the ONUcareer record.

JENNIFER HANSEN (Slippery Rock University) was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week. The SRU sophomore set a PSAC record with a pole vault of 12 feet, 9½ inches at the IUP Open.•

LACEY COCHRAN (Freeport), a junior on the Slippery Rock University women's track and field team, was named PSACWomen's Track Athlete of the Week. She ran legs on SRU's 400-meter and 1,600-meter relay teams, which set conference-leading times of 47.41 seconds and 3:49.16, respectively.•

DAN HUDECK (Slippery Rock University), a junior first baseman, was named PSACWest Player of the Week. He hit .500 (15 for 30) last week with 12 RBI, four doubles and three home runs as SRUwon six of eight games.•

STACEY RHOADES (Slippery Rock University), a junior shortstop, was named PSACWest Softball Player of the Week. She hit .417 (10 for 24) with three doubles, two homers and nine RBI as SRUwon six of eight games.•

TYLER FITCH (Grove City College), a sophomore, was named Presidents' Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week. He shot a 74, then won a three-way playoff for medalist honors at the Saint Vincent Invitational.•

RENEE WARD (Grove City College), a freshman, was named PACWomen's Golfer of the Week. She shot a 90 to earn medalist honors in a 406-412 dual meet win over Saint Vincent.•

MARY MACHROWICZ (Grove City College), a junior, was named PACWomen's Track Athlete of the Week. She won the 400 meters at the Westminster Invitational with an NCAA-qualifying time of 57.31 seconds and took second in the 200 with a time of 26.03 seconds, both GCCrecords.•

BOB PERRI (Grove City College), a senior, was named PACMen's Field Athlete of the Week. He won the shot put at the Westminster Invitational with a throw of 49-1 and placed fifth in the discus with a toss of 135-3.•

MELANIE BUCZKO (Butler), a senior on the Bucknell University women's track and field team, won the pole vault during the Bucknell Team Challenge with an effort of 12 feet, 7Z\x inches, a stadium record and an NCAAEast Regional qualifying mark.•

JUSTIN SHEPHERD (Seneca Valley), a member of the Bloomsburg University men's track and field team, won the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:02 at the East Stroudsburg All-American Invitational.•

ALY INTIHAR (Seneca Valley), a freshman on the Cornell University women's softball team, was named Ivy League Player and Rookie of the Week. She hit .550 (11-for-20) with six RBI, two home runs, a triple and a double. She leads the team with nine homers and 34 RBI.
